Blacklist check (DNSBL)
The IP address is checked against the most important blacklists (Spamhaus, Barracuda, SpamCop, UCEPROTECT…). For a domain we check the IP addresses of its web and mail servers (A and MX records) and the domain itself on domain blacklists (Spamhaus DBL, SURBL, URIBL).
Frequently asked questions
- Why are my emails bouncing or landing in spam?
- The most common causes are a blacklisted mail server IP, a missing PTR record and broken SPF, DKIM or DMARC records. For a domain this tool automatically checks the IP addresses from its MX records.
- How do I get an IP address removed?
- First fix the cause (compromised account, script sending spam, open relay), then use the removal link next to the list. Most lists remove the address automatically once new reports stop.
- What is the Spamhaus PBL?
- The Policy Block List contains ranges that should not send email directly, such as home internet connections. It is not a spam list – mail from such addresses should go through the provider mail server.
